DALTON'S DINOSGUEST SYSTEM v1.06.92INSERT TAPE

Chapter 2: mine, tram, and lake cave

After the attraction, the ground opens into works that were never on the brochure. One guide draws chapter 2 as a mine, a tram ride, and a cave on a lake, and it hands you three keypad codes. Another guide draws chapter 2 as generators, a foreman tower, and the tram, and it saves the goo-stained mine for later. Both drawings can be true of the same tunnels if the authors cut the tape in different places. I will not pretend the cut is official.

The three codes, one author

Keypad numbers from a single third-party chapter guide. Status is source count, not a test result.
CodeWhere the guide puts itStatus
0451Foreman tower1 source
0978Keypad after it is repaired1 source
1677Elevator, given by Stella1 source

Stella is still the paleontologist on the headset, the Coolidge family friend from the narrative devlog. The guide has her read 1677 to you. That is consistent with her role and it is still one guide's staging. If your elevator wants a different number, trust the prop in front of you over this table.

Two Brontosaurus pursuits

The creature-design devlog says the Brontosaurus was the hardest animal to build because of its size, and that it roams. A later patch mentions a second Brontosaurus hunt. Chapter 1 already spent one chase getting you into the cave. The second hunt is why this chapter, in the guide that uses the lake cave, feels like the large animal's real territory. You still do not hurt it. You get the cart, the gate, or the tunnel to move.

I am not listing goo pools or minecart physics here. Those sentences belong to the other chapter cut, and they are written on the chapter 3 page so a reader can see the disagreement instead of a blended room. Finish-level percent on 2 Nov 2026 was 55.8 for level 2, down from 79.9 for level 1. The drop is a public statistic, not a difficulty rating I measured.

Questions

Which codes belong to this stretch?

A single third-party guide gives 0451 for the foreman tower, 0978 for a repaired keypad, and 1677 as the elevator code Stella provides. No second independent write-up confirms them.

Why do some guides put the mine in chapter 3?

Because another family describes chapter 3 as mine, goo, and a minecart, and describes chapter 2 as generators, a foreman tower, and the tram. I am printing both assignments instead of picking a winner.

What achievement closes the level?

Steam names it "That's DINO-mite!" and the hidden description is "Finish Level 2." On 2 Nov 2026 about 55.8 percent of players had it.
