Terrible Lizards versus Dead by Daylight

The versus in the search box is mostly a store question. Behaviour Interactive publishes Terrible Lizards alongside Digital Pajamas, and Behaviour makes Dead by Daylight. Steam sells a bundle of the two. Players who see the bundle ask if they are buying two flavors of the same night. They are not.

Differences I can support from store pages and the design notes. Not a tier list.
Terrible LizardsDead by Daylight
PlayersSingle playerAsymmetric multiplayer
Camera and toolsFirst person, no weapons, parkourThird person survivors, a killer power
SessionA 6–10 hour story, per the Q&ARepeated matches
Setting1992 Route 66 dinosaur parkMultiple realms and licensed killers
LinkAchievements can grant DBD cosmetics, per one Steam guideBundle on Steam includes both games

Chase is the overlapping word. In Terrible Lizards the pursuer is a dinosaur or Dennis and the exit is a door in a single building. In Dead by Daylight the pursuer is another player and the exit is a gate in a match. Skill in one does not transfer as a number I could cite. I will not invent a "if you are rank X, you will like Y."

Price them separately on their own stores. The Terrible Lizards US launch price I recorded is $19.99 against $24.99, dated 2 Nov 2026, and the bundle discount is described on the crossover page as 10 percent on the Steam bundle page I opened, with a regional example rather than a universal dollar figure. Buy the bundle only if you want both games. Buying it to get a dinosaur killer inside Dead by Daylight is not a claim I can make.

Questions

Which one should I buy?

If you want a solo route through a park, Terrible Lizards. If you want matches against other people, Dead by Daylight. The Steam bundle sells both and does not merge them into one ruleset.

Do they play alike?

No. One is a checkpointed first-person run with no weapons. The other is a match of survivors and a killer. Chase is the only rhyme, and even the camera does not match.

Is there a shared character?

The crossover page covers rewards unlocked from Terrible Lizards achievements into Dead by Daylight. I have not found a shared playable character in the posts I used.
