Terrible Lizards PC requirements

These are the Windows numbers Steam prints on the Terrible Lizards store page. I copied them on 2 Nov 2026. If Valve's page changes the GPU, the page wins and this table is a dated transcript.

Notice the recommended processor is not a higher core-count brag. Steam lists an i3-10100F or a Ryzen 3 3100 beside a much heavier GPU. I am not "correcting" that. It may mean they care more about the card, or it may be an odd spec line. Either way it is what the store says.

Storage is 25 GB on both tiers. The demo app also requires 25 GB of available space; this is a storage requirement rather than a measured download size. The demo page explains that it is a separate app, not a slice of this install. Uninstalling one does not document itself as freeing the other. I will not promise disk math I have not seen.

Console readers do not need this table. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are the console targets on the price page. There is no last-gen row. Deck handheld notes, including the "text may be hard to read" line, stay on the Deck page so this one remains a parts list.

Questions

How much disk space is required?

Steam requires 25 GB of available space in both the minimum and recommended tiers. Microsoft lists maximum download sizes of 21,812,416,512 bytes for the console XVC package and 16,614,477,824 bytes for the Windows MSIXVC package. Those catalog fields are different from the Steam available-space requirement and come from one source.

Is there a Mac or Linux build?

The Steam listing I used is Windows only. Steam Deck runs that Windows build through Proton and is marked Playable, with a text-size warning.

Which DirectX?

Minimum line says DirectX 11. Recommended line says DirectX 12. I am not merging those into one.

Source counts refer to independent publishers; syndicated copies and separate readings from one publisher count as one source.
